Laura Louise Graf

May 11, 2016

Laura Louise Graf, of Lockwood, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, May 7, 2016, in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home at the age of 91 years.

She was born on October 28, 1924, in El Dorado, Kansas, to Orville and Freida (Kumbier) Howerton.
Louise was united in marriage to Lloyd J. Graf on January 13, 1946, in Van Nuys, California. She lived a full life. Louise was a “Rosie the Riveter” during World War II, a farmwife, a mother, a bookkeeper, and a grandmother.
She was a devoted member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church for nearly 60 years. Louise found joy and honor in volunteering her time to the community and her church family. Perhaps her greatest joy of all was having her house full of her great-grandchildren. Her root-beer floats were the best! She will be greatly missed.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Orville and Freida Howerton; her husband, Lloyd Graf; one infant son; and two brothers, Clifford Howerton and James Howerton.

Survivors include one son, Joe Graf and his wife, Penny; three grandchildren, Tara Stulce and her husband, Brad; Ty Graf and his wife, Jessie; and Tiffany Graf and Josh Baker; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial followed in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
The family received friends on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. until service time in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be shared at www.greenfieldfuneralchapel.com.
Services were under the care of Lockwood Funeral Chapel.
