Harold E. Weis

Harold E. Weis, of Greenfield, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, May 27, 2016, in the Dade County Nursing Home at the age of 88 years.

He was born on May 26, 1928 in Ankeny, Iowa to Charlie and Grace Weis. Harold was united in marriage to Virginia Myrl Feezell on June 11, 1949 in Corry, Missouri. He worked as a Plaster Contractor, and retired as a Truck Driver. Harold was a member of the Teamsters Union #245.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Charlie and Grace Weis; two sons, Randall Wayne Weis and Robert Weis; one grandson, Mark Burton; three brothers: Bill Weis, Arthur Weis, and Roy Weis; and four sisters: Ruth Knouse, Ester Ewing, Helen McDole, and Gladys Cooper.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Weis of Greenfield; one son, Paul Weis and Sheila Baker of Greenfield; one daughter, Debra Nelsen of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; eight grandchildren: Amy Nelsen, Justin Weis, Vanha Davis, Brandon Weis, Chad Weis, Clifford Weis, Harley Weis, and Tristan Burton; three great-grandchildren: Noah Davis, Oliver Weis, and Paisley Weis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016 in Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Corry Cemetery. The family received friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Corry Cemetery.
