Penny Lynn Stephenson

Penny Lynn Stephenson, age 53, of Mt. Vernon, MO passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 25, 2023, in Mt.Vernon, Missouri.

Penny was born January 28, 1970, in El Dorado Springs, MO to Leroy Ellis Stephenson and Rose Mary (Dull) Stephenson. Penny graduated from Greenfield High School in the class of 1989. She was a homemaker her entire life. She attended the First Christian Church in Mt. Vernon, Mo.

Survivors include her children Brittany Lee, Mt. Vernon, MO; Cindy Sanders, Eric Sanders, both of Cassville, MO and David Sanders Sedalia, MO. Her mother, Rose Mary Wilkinson, Neosho, MO; one stepbrother, Richard Patrick Springfield, MO; and one sister, Alice Wilkinson, Mt. Vernon, MO.

Five Aunts, Sharon Shackelford, Neosho, MO; Betty Brasher, Lamar, MO and Peggy Swaggerty, Stockton, MO; Dollie Smith of Liberal, MO; Donna Rotramel of Liberal, MO; one uncle Wayne Stephenson of Springfield, TN and a special cousin Jenny Thomas, Greenfield, MO and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who love her and will miss her dearly.

Preceding Penny in death were her father, Leroy Stephenson, a brother Timothy Stephenson, and a sister, Sally Wilkinson, an Aunt, Lois Etter, and a Uncle, Lyle Stephenson

A visitation will be 1:00-200 p.m. with the service at 2:00, Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the First Christian Church, 703 S Hickory St. Mt. Vernon, MO. Condolences may be shared at sharonashack@gmail.com
