Jo Ann Jones

Jo Ann Jones, 87, of Everton passed July 30, 2016, in the Magnolia Square Nursing Home in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born on September 6, 1928, in South Greenfield, Missouri to Forrest and Marjorie (Gant) Jeffreys and was the oldest of four children

Jo Ann graduated from Everton High School and shortly after married Carl Jones March 30, 1947, in Mt. Vemon, Missouri. She worked 20 years at Zenith, Springfield, also for Boyd Casket Company, Everton, was a cook for the Everton School and a care giver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Marjorie (Gant) Jeffreys; daughter, Connie Gault; sister, Rosalie Roberts; and former husband, Carl Jones.

Jo Ann is survived by her son, Martin Jones and wife, Linda, of Fayetteville Arkansas; daughters: Myrna Gilbert and husband, Richard, of Springfield; Carol Clark and husband, Charles, of Everton; and Beverly Ikerd and husband, Terry, of Kimberling City. She has 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Services were Wednesday August 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Birch Funeral Chapel with Brother Rex Jones officiating. Visitation was held one hour before service time.

Burial was in Antioch Cemetery under direction of Birch Funeral Home, Ash Grove, Missouri
