Evelyn C. Decker

Evelyn C. Decker, of Stockton, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, September 23, 2016, in Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 98 years.

She was born on July 30, 1918, in Dade County, Missouri to Ula Uriah and Alma Emma (DeGarmo) Wilson. Evelyn was united in marriage to Elmer Decker on June 2, 1940 in Dade County, Missouri. She was a wonderful homemaker, and a member of the Arcola Christian Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Ula Uriah and Alma Emma Wilson; her husband, Elmer Decker; one son, Leon Decker; and one brother, Elwin Wilson.

Survivors include one son, Jay Decker and his wife, Lora, of Rogers, AR; one daughter, Linda Danley and her husband, Jim, of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Kay Decker of Bolivar, Missouri; six grandchildren: Jeff Decker and his wife, Deb; Luci Ewing and husband, Rex; Kristen Taylor and her husband, Rod; Courtney and her husband, Arthur Black; Brian Decker and his wife, Jennifer; and Melissa Doss; and six great-grandchildren: Bailey and Kyla Ewing, Alisha, Brianna, and Benjamin Decker, and Emily Doss.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, in Arcola Christian Church. Burial followed in Stockton Cemetery in Stockton, Missouri.
The family received friends on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church.
