Mike was born on July 28, 1956, to Bob and Ann Bishop. He accepted Jesus as his savior at an early age and loved to hear his mom sing those favorite hymns.
Mike grew up on a farm in Greenfield and Everton area. He attended school at Greenfield and was involved in FFA, football and basketball and received several awards in both football and basketball. Mike loved the outdoors and spent many years hunting deer and turkey. Many of these trips were shared with his son Zachery, cousins David Clabough, Monte Gladden and Jerald Mallory. These trips are shared memories that will last years. Mike introduced deer hunting to his granddaughters Cassidy and Natalee. He was so proud of them getting their first deer.
He enjoyed camping and traveling and was fortunate to visit almost all of the 50 states and the country of Brazil. Most of all, Mike loved his family and enjoyed Sunday dinners with his children and grandchildren.
