David Garver

David Ray Garver 63, of Everton, Missouri, was born on April 27, 1962, in Japan to Ray Lee and Alma “Pat” (Alexander) Garver. David passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, due to injuries he suffered in a traffic accident on May 2, 2024.
David graduated from Everton High School in 1982, then followed in his dad’s footsteps and joined the United States Navy. After his four years in the Navy, he made his career in truck driving, which he did until the time of the accident.
In September 1981, David and Tammy Sewell were married and to this marriage three children arrived Brandon, Jennifer, and Derrick.
David enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing, but his love for music was strong. He loved playing electric guitars and other instruments that he could teach himself how to play. David’s passion for music was all around him.
He also loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. David was saved and baptized during his time in the service.
David is survived by his children: Brandon Garver; Jennifer Countryman and husband, Scott: Derrick Garver; father, Ray Garver; sisters: Janel Graves and husband, Bobby; Tricia Garver; brother, Steven Garver and wife, Brigitte; grandchildren: Adella Brewer and husband, Cory; Waylon and Reese Countryman; and Wyatt Garver.
David is preceded in death by his mother, Pat Garver.
David will be missed by family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Mt. Vernon Care Place for the care they gave David while there.
Visitation will be, Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 15, 2025, at Liberty Cemetery, Everton, Missouri.
