Mike Coose

Michael Ray “Mike” Coose, of Lockwood, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 25, 2025, in his home at the age of 66.

 He was born on August 18, 1959 in Springfield, Missouri, to Enoch Jr. and Marlene Louella (Scotvold) Coose, and moved a month later to Lockwood, Missouri where he was a lifelong resident.  

Mike graduated from Lockwood High School in 1977.  If you asked Mike what age he began farming, he would say 13.  He was known as a hard and prolific worker.  How do you get all that done?  He would say, “You just keep moving.”  Mike was an avid collector and hoped to continue and expand that hobby in retirement.  He was a man with plans and ideas.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Enoch Jr. and Marlene Coose.  Mike is survived by his sister, Leasa Coose of Springfield, Missouri; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial services are being held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Lockwood Christian Church.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood Cemetery.
