Mary Hargis

Mary Pearl Hargis, of Lockwood, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, September 1, 2025, in the Good Shephard Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility at the age of 96.

She was born on July 25, 1929 to Isaac Jasper and Iva Mae (Lane) Graham.  

Mary graduated for Everton High School.  She had worked at Lily Tulip and Sweetheart in Springfield.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ash Grove.  Mary enjoyed playing dominoes.  She loved children and always had her pockets full of candy for the little ones at church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Isaac and Iva Graham; her son, Ronnie Wendell Hargis; one brother, Charles Isaac Graham; and two sisters, Gladys Marie Mallory and Eileen Mae Little.

Survivors include one sister, Nora Christine Farris; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Sinking Creek Cemetery. The family received friends on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Greenfield Funeral Chapel.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
