Steve Ogden

October 02, 2025

Steve Lee Ogden, 75, of Lockwood, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on May 4, 1950, in Lamar, Missouri, to Calvin and Joyce Ogden. The eldest of seven children, Steve grew up with a strong sense of responsibility, love for family, and deep roots in rural Missouri life.
He graduated from Lockwood High School in 1968, then attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) from 1968 to 1970. Steve went on to earn his degree from Southwest Missouri State University in 1972.
Steve was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was first married to Sharon Eldred, and together they had two sons: Justin (Jennifer) Ogden and Jason (Jamie) Ogden. On December 30, 1985, Steve married Deborah “Debbie” Rhodd, and they shared a beautiful life together.  They had three sons: Steven (Jennifer) Ogden, Stefan (Morgan) Ogden, and Andy Ogden.
In addition to his children, Steve was a proud stepfather to Kenny (Stacy) Snider, Vicky (Paul) Sparkman, Elise (Russ) Nentrup, and Kim Kinder. His legacy continues through 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Ogden; his sisters, Brenda Kemp and Cinda (Steven) Lee; his brothers, Bob (Eddie) Ogden, Kenny Ogden, and Craig (Carole) Ogden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Joyce Ogden; his sister, Linda Grant; and his stepson, Roy Marrs.
A true man of the land, Steve found great joy in working on his farm, where he raised a small herd of cattle, horses, and donkeys. He loved nothing more than spending time outdoors and being surrounded by his family. His warmth, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
