Charles C. Hargis

Charles C. Hargis, of Greenfield, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, December 5, 2016, in his residence at the age of 88 years.

He was born on September 14, 1928, in Dade County, Missouri to James and Elizabeth (Killingsworth) Hargis.
Charles was united in marriage to Euna Page Clabough in 1950, and she preceded him in death in 1956. He was united in marriage to Maxine J. Jones in 1964, and she preceded him in death in 2003. Also, preceding Charles in death were his parents; three brothers, Harvey Hargis, Buster Hargis, and Winton Hargis; and one sister, Francis Plumb.

Survivors include one son, Mike Hargis and his wife, Nanci, of Greenfield, Missouri; two daughters, Babette Terhune of Greenfield, Missouri and Sherry Terrell of Walnut Grove, Missouri; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016, in Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Greenfield Cemetery.
The family received friends on Friday at 1:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Dade County Senior Citizens Center.
