Jerry Thieman

Jerry Fayne Thieman, son of Leonard and Lillie ( Merrick) Thieman, was born on August 16, 1942 in Lockwood Missouri. He departed this life Monday December 8, 2025, at his home in Springfield, Missouri. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, LD Thieman; his daughter, Shelly Thieman; and his son, Steven Thieman.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Susie, of the home; two sons: Brent Thieman and wife, Katie of Rogersville, Missouri and Nick Thieman and wife, Tara, of Springfield, Missouri; two step-children: Creasa Boswell of Springfield, Missouri and Travis Hodges of Freeman, Missouri; 15 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Jerry graduated from Lockwood High School with the class of 1960. He attended business college after high school. Jerry had a never-ending work ethic which was reflected in his daily life right up to the end.  He worked for Zenith Electronics Corporation for 28 years as a supervisor. Jerry enjoyed all types of sports. He worked for the Springfield Cardinals for the past 21 years. Jerry also worked for Missouri State University for the past 17 years, making many friends and forming lasting relationships.

Jerry attended the Renew Methodist Church at Willard, Missouri. He cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He attended many school and sports events to support them. He loved his church family, family reunions and holiday dinners. Jerry immensely enjoyed going to breakfast with Gordon and Weston. He was never known to turn down an offer to go west, to visit a casino. Jerry’s presence will be missed profoundly by all that knew and loved him.

The visitation was  held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri on December 17th at 10 a.m. and the funeral followed at 11 a.m.  

The internment will be at Lockwood Cemetery at Lockwood, Missouri.
