Jacqueline Gilkey
December 17, 2025
Jacqueline “Jackie” Gilkey, 76, of Walnut Grove, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025. She was born on February 25, 1949, to Calvin “Bud” and DeLoris (Saxton) Martin.
On June 24, 1996, Jackie and David Gilkey were united in marriage and shared over 29 years together.
Jackie lived a life full of love, adventure, and simple joys. She was a wonderful cook who loved feeding her family and friends, and she spent countless hours in her garden and greenhouse. She enjoyed horses, and she and David traveled all over the country together—visiting 48 states and putting more than 200,000 miles on their pull-behind camper. But her favorite place to be was wherever her grandkids were. She loved going to anything they were involved in and was proud of each one of them. Being their Granny was her greatest joy.
Jackie is survived by her husband, David Gilkey; children: Leslie Schuh and husband, Mark; Diane Smith and husband, Justin; Wade Gilkey; grandchildren: Hannah Schuh; Sydney Schuh; Calvin Smith; Ellie Smith; Hunter Gilkey; Faith Rutherford and husband, Sam; siblings: Tom Martin and wife, Linda; Debbie Robertson and husband, Phillip; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and DeLoris Martin.
Visitation was 5 -8 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2025, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Graveside services were 2 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Sac River Cowboy Church for the Christmas baskets and may be left with the funeral home.
