Charles A. Hedberg

Charles (Charlie) A. Hedberg, 83, of Centralia, died Friday, December 16, 2016, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital, Columbia.

Charles was president of the Missouri Press Association in 1987.

A memorial service was held Thursday, December 22, 2016, at the First Baptist Church, 101 South Collier Street, Centralia. Interment was at Olivet Cemetery, Center.

Concepcion Surratt

Concepcion Fernandez-Surratt, age 49, of Granby, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
A funeral mass, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, was held on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at the St. Suzanne Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon. Burial will be in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Stephen A. Swillum, III

Stephen Anthony Swillum, III, age 26, loving husband of Jill Melanie (Morgan) Swillum, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at the Cox Hospital in Monett, Missouri.
A funeral service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, was held on Monday, December 26, 2016, at the Freedom Christian Center, south of Mt. Vernon with burial to follow at the Davis Cemetery east of Miller.

Boyd  Lynn Thomas

Boyd Lynn Thomas, 74, Miller, Missouri, departed this life December 22, 2016, at Cox South Hospital.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 2016. followed by memorial services at 2:00 p.m., in the MARC, Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Inurnment will be at Gray’s Point Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Gray’s Point Memorial Cemetery, 1113 Lawrence 1050, Miller, MO 65707.

Gene Hardin Miller

Gene Hardin Miller, age 74, of Monett, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016, at the Cassville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. Burial followed at the Shady Grove Cemetery in Aldrich, Missouri.
