Donald Creed

Donald Gene Creed, 82, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026. He was born on January 15, 1943, in Polk County, Missouri to Orvel Eugene and Wilma Fay (Ketchum) Creed. 

On June 21, 1964, Donald and Joyce Courtney were united in marriage and shared over 61 years together. 

Donald was born and raised in the Walnut Grove area. He was an active member and Elder of Aldrich Christian Church. When he was younger, he showed walking horses and enjoyed fishing. 

Donald was a farmer in every meaning of the word and loved taking care of the land and animals. 

Above all, Donald loved being a Pa to his five grandchildren he loved so much. 

Donald is survived by his wife, Joyce Creed; children: Dee Ann Blakemore and husband, Bruce; Courtney Creed and wife, Kelly; grandchildren: Tanner Blakemore; Breanne Blakemore; Abby Blakemore; Clay Creed and wife, Olivia; Mason Creed; brother, Jim Creed; and many other family and friends. 

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Orvel and Wilma Creed. 

Visitation was from 5 -7 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2026, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Funeral services were 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Aldrich, Missouri. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Aldrich Christian Church and may be left with the funeral home.
