She and her husband enjoyed dining out and she preferred American Cuisine. She worked throughout the school year, six weeks in the summer and two weeks doing administrative work and only took two weeks of vacation a year.
She was baptized as a teen in the Greenfield Christian Church and in 1960 she and her husband joined the Christian Church in Nevada where she served as elder and trustee on the board for 50 years. Her beloved husband, Frank, of 30 years passed away in 1990.

Survivors include two nieces and one nephew and she loved them as her own children: Leanna Jackson and her husband, Doug, Platt City, Missouri; Lanette Schilling, Lee’s Summit; and Erryl Schilling and his wife, Linda, Lockwood. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
