Jessa ‘Chi Chi’ North

Jessa Jennie “Chi Chi” North, 87, of Walnut Grove, Missouri, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. She was born on May 10, 1938, inåAkron, Ohio.  

Chi Chi loved Jesus and was devoted to her church family at Center Baptist. She had a heart of gold and was known for her kindness and the way she loved people unconditionally. 

A hard worker throughout her life, Chi Chi found joy in simple things like gardening, canning, collecting angels, and caring for her beloved cats. She loved Christmas, giving gifts, and being with her family. Chi Chi truly enjoyed being around others and made everyone feel welcome and cared for, especially her grandchildren. 

Chi Chi is survived by children: Jerry North and wife, Lori; Terry Forshee and husband, Doug; Roy Lee North; Trish Choate and husband, Rod; Wesley North and wife, Leslie; Michael North and wife, Brandy; grandchildren: Jason North, Seth Forshee, Chad Forshee, Tyler Choate, Tanner Choate, Matthew North, Amanda North, Amber North, Abby North, Jessalin North; great-grandchildren: Savannah, Emily, Danny, Willow; brother, Robert Ireton and wife, Carolyn; other family, and many friends.

Chi Chi is preceded in death by her husband; Bob North; sons, Francis North, John North; grandchildren, Lori North, Weston North, Zoe North; mother, Freda Cotton; and several siblings. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Center Baptist Church and may be left with the funeral home. 

Visitation will be from noon until 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2026, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. 

Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2026, at Greene Lawn Cemetery, Walnut Grove.
