Everton Board of Alderman Asks for Mayor Cole to Voluntarily Resign

At the City of Evertons Board of Alderman Meeting, tonight, May 13, 2026, the Everton Board of Alderman consisting of Lisa Propst, Ray Shearer, Chad Hurt and Staci Hurt, requested Mayor Cole resign her position immediately. The request read as follows:

May 13th, 2026

City Hall Meeting

The Board of Alderman of the City of Everton formally request the immediate and official resignation of the Mayor of Everton, Vicky Cole.

For the following violations of public office:

Creating a toxic and hostile work environment.

For lying to and attempting to manipulate board members.

For repeated attempts to smear board members to one another and for spreading false and disparaging rumors of citizens to the board members.

For attempting to block and interfere with the legal work of the board of alderman and the city clerk.

For using her mayoral position to punish, harass, and cause general interference to the health, welfare, wellness, and prosperity to the citizens of this town.

For violations to the labor laws of the state of Missouri regarding the pay and security ofJason Kennedy.

For violent verbal assaults on James Schultz and Crystal Manis-Fulk.

For falsifying records and fraudulently charging Brandon Smith for services that this city does not provide to him.

For these and many other, (as of now), unlisted offenses, the following board members do hereby request the immediate resignation of Vicky Cole from the position of Mayor of the City of Everton on this day of May 13t, 2026.

The request was signed by all four Alderman.

Mayor Cole refused the request, exchanged a few words with citizens attending the meeting, tried to adjourn the meeting without a motion or vote, and walked out of city hall.
