Carolyn Clydean Carr, age 79, of Everton, Missouri, passed away at 6:33 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026, at her home. She was born January 4, 1947, in Carthage, Missouri, the daughter of George and Adalene (Meyer) Chapman.
Carolyn was a 1965 graduate of Sarcoxie High School in Sarcoxie, Missouri and was a stay-at-home mom until her children were raised. She worked at Positronic Industries in Mt. Vernon, Missouri and at Baumers Food Mart in Halltown, Missouri. She was a member of the Red Hat Club, enjoyed bowling, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended the Halltown Baptist Church and the New Home Baptist Church.
On January 11, 1965, she married Daniel Franklin Carr. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2016.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Gail Repasi and her husband, Mike, of Halltown, Missouri; her son, Larry Carr and his wife, Wendy, of Owasso, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Timothy and Jonathon Carr, Katherine Turner, Kendall Carr, Danielle Reynolds and Nick Carr; 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way; three brothers, Dale (Louanna) Chapman and David (Connie) Chapman, all of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Don (Paula) Chapman of Republic, Missouri; one sister, Lisa (Jim) Orr, of Springfield, Missouri; her brother-in-law, Fred Burke, of Joplin, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, George, and Adalene Chapman; her husband, Daniel Carr, and her sister, Marzy Burke.
A visitation under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Halltown Baptist Church with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at the Batson Cemetery, east of Halltown, Missouri.
