Wilma Dillard

Wilma Jean Dillard, 93, of Ash Grove, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026. She was born on August 9, 1932, in Stuart, Oklahoma to James and Mary (Mooney) Hackworth. 

In August of 1949, Wilma and Earl Dillard were united in marriage.

Wilma was a God loving and hard-working woman. She enjoyed her church family at Center Baptist and being active there for as long as her health allowed. Wilma enjoyed working in her yard and garden, growing beautiful flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed reading, fishing, going to auctions and garage sales, along with watching golf on TV. Wilma will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her. 

Wilma is survived by children, Earlene Townsend and husband, Richard, Melissa Vasso; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren plus one on the way; nine great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Hackworth; husband, Earl Dillard; children, Jamie Dillard, Tommy Dillard, Brenda Driskill; siblings, Shear Hackworth, Clarence Hackworth, Junior Hackworth, and Ruby Hagerman.

Visitation is 6 -8 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 31, 2026, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Willard, Missouri. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Ash Grove Health Care Facility -Activities Fund and may be left with the funeral home.
