James Mangin

James Melvin Mangin, of Stockton, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, August 3, 2026, in his home at the age of 66.

He was born on April 29, 1960 in Wichita, Kansas, to Vincent R. and Helen J. (Scholes) Mangin.  James graduated from Stockton High School.  

He served his country in the United States Navy.

James was united in marriage to Carla Farley and to this union two sons were born, James and Andrew. He worked in construction throughout his life. James enjoyed going fishing and hunting.  He also liked watching Westerns and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Vincent and Helen Mangin; and his wife, Carla Mangin.

Survivors include two sons, James Mangin and Andrew Mangin; four grandchildren, Kaylee Mangin, Kohle Man-gin, Connor Mangin, and Nora Mangin; six sisters, Ramona Greenlee and husband, Bubba, of South Greenfield, Missouri; Sandra Mangin of Stockton, Missouri; Karen Brandell of Stockton, Missouri;  Sharon Crutcher of Stockton, Missouri; Lorie Foster of Sheldon, Missouri; and Penny Arthur and husband, Rich, of Greenfield, Missouri; his life partner, Katie Clem, and her daughter, Jade; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
