Bob Meyers

Bobby Gene Meyers of Miller, Missouri passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri. 

Bob was born in Jasper County on October 27, 1939, to Ray Foust and Marie Galloway and later adopted by Raymond and Eunice Meyers. 

Bob attended Miller High School and graduated in 1958. He went on to attend Draughn’s Business College in Springfield, Missouri. Bob’s long business career included ownership of an OTASCO store in Miller and later employment with Mid-America and Missouri Rehabilitation Center, both in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. He was also a member of the Miller Lions Club. 

Bob is preceded in death by both birth and adopted parents and sister, Bonnie Jo Faucett. 

Bob is survived by the love of his life, wife Kay Duffy; sons: Mike and wife, Sandy, of Nixa, Missouri; David and wife, Karen, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, drinking coffee with his close buddies and spending time with his family. He was known throughout Lawrence County and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall, Miller, Missouri. Burial will be at Miller Memorial Gardens at a future date.
