Harold Corwin

Harold Lee Corwin,  81, of Miller, Missouri, died Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Harold fought a hard battle with Dementia with Lewy Bodies.

Harold was born to Carl and Mary (Jones) Corwin in Miller, Missouri, on July 16, 1945. He attended Miller High School with the Class of 1963. On July 12, 1965, Harold proudly joined the United States Army and went on to serve his country in Korea.

On September 5, 1968, Harold married the love of his life, Doris (Carter) Mason. Doris brought two children into their marriage, Theresa Ann Mason and Robert Stanley Mason. Together, Harold and Doris welcomed their daughter, Tina Michelle Corwin. 

Harold suffered the loss of Doris, the love of his life, after her long battle with cancer in 2005. Together, they shared 36 years of marriage. 

Harold later married Charlotte Johnson of Urbana. Charlotte preceded him in death in 2020. 

Harold is survived by his daughter, Tina, and her husband, Jay Hill, of Mt. Vernon; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his brother, Raymond Corwin and wife, Nilajo of Springfield; and sister-in-law, Sharon Corwin of Aurora.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary Corwin; the love of his life, Doris Corwin; his second wife, Charlotte Corwin; three sisters: infant Geraldine Corwin, Faye Morris, and Fern Heard; two brothers, Vincel Corwin and Donald Corwin; his great-grandson, Landon Boggs; sister-in-law, Sugg Corwin and brothers-in-law, Harold Morris and James Heard.

A funeral service was held Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home in Miller, Missouri, with a burial to follow at the Miller Memorial Gardens.
