Dorma McCroskey

Dorma Lou Patton McCroskey, 93, of Republic, Missouri, passed away peacefully Monday, August 24, 2026, at 3:30 a.m., after a long, wonderful life, just short of her 94th birthday. 

Dorma was born in Ash Grove, Missouri on November 7, 1932, to Howard and Cora (Dotty) Patton. 

Dorma married Loren McCroskey and they shared over 51 years, before Loren’s passing in 2000. To this union six children were born: Mike (Judy) McCroskey, Cheryl (Jim) Haik, Gail (Wayne) Gugel, Vicki Eagleburger, Ken (Evy) McCroskey), Jan (Mike) Pearl. The family has grown to nine grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Dorma is also survived by her siblings, Shirly (Jim) Lauthern and Jerry (Mary) Patton.

Dorma enjoyed crafting and going to the saddle club when she was younger. She kept up game night with close friends and was always ready to “go”. Dorma had a zest for life and enjoyed it to the fullest with her family and friends. No grass grew under her feet!

Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2026 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Missouri.
