Elmer Witt

Marvin Elmer Witt, 75, of Bona, Missouri, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, in his home.

Elmer was born on May 3, 1951 to Marvin “Pete” and LaVernice (West) Witt. He was baptized in Big Sac River at a young age. He attended Seybert Church. 

Elmer attended Stockton School and graduated from Stockton High School in 1969. He loved playing football and was the captain of his team. He was also a big Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Elmer married his high school sweetheart, Debbie Roy. To this union a son, Brad Witt was born. 

In addition to working at MD Pneumatic for 33 years, he enjoyed working on the family farm, where he raised cattle. He was a member of Stockton Masonic Lodge #283. Elmer enjoyed many hobbies during his life.

Elmer was an avid fisherman. He particularly enjoyed fishing on Truman Lake with his son Brad, brother David, uncles, Kirby and Rex, as well as many other close friends. What happens at Truman Lake, STAYED at the Lake! Elmer was always “on ready” whenever fishing was mentioned! He also loved to hunt. 

Another of Elmer’s many talents was a “fix it” guy usually welding or repairing parts for anyone who needed something fixed.

Elmer is survived by his son, Brad Witt; his granddaughter, Micalah (Blake) Carter; great-granddaughters, Magnolia and Dahlia; his sister, Irene Neill; brother, David (Neda) Witt; aunt, Jean West; nephew, Russell Neill; nieces, Tammie (Bob) Papenfuhs and Patty Neill; nephew, J.D. Witt; niece, Stephanie (Robert) Obiyo; and many other family members and friends.

Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Raymond Neill; sister-in-law, Sue Witt; as well as uncles and aunts.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Greenfield Funeral Chapel.  

Burial followed in Fullington Cemetery.  

The family received friends on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m at Greenfield Funeral Chapel.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Fullington Cemetery.
