John ‘Cotton’ Hull

John Edward Hull, age 89, of Miller, Missouri, passed away at 1:33 a.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at his home. He was born February 11, 1937, in Muskegon, Michigan, the son of James Merrill and Marie Alice (Dobberstein) Hull.

Cotton was a 1955 graduate of Alma High School in Alma, Michigan. He worked in the sheet metal trade, but his true love was a working cowboy.

Cotton is survived by his son, John J. Hull and his wife, Lynda, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; three daughters, Linda Radcliffe and her husband, Dennis, of Damasus, Oregon, Julie Ann Culver and her husband, Paul, of Surprise, Arizona and Debra Gerberich of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.

Cotton was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marie Hull; two sisters, Mary Murry, and Joyce Hull; two brothers, James Hull and Paul Hull and one great-granddaughter, Jacee Aurora Hull.

No services are planned currently. A memorial service will be announced later. Arrangements are under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
