Carolyn Fay Decker

Carolyn Fay Decker, 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Research Medical Center.
She leaves her husband of 51 years and lifelong friend, Ray Decker; her daughter, Sandra Sigman and her husband, Michael; her brother, Roger “Steve” Gleason; her sister-in-law, Jane Zumwalt; and two grandchildren: Morgan Sigman and Matthew Sigman.
The daughter of Paul and Hazel Gleason, Fay was born in Wichita, Kansas, on July 17, 1943. She was raised in Arcola, Missouri and graduated from Greenfield High School.
She later completed business training at Draughon Business College in Springfield, Missouri.
In 1965, Fay married Ray, whom she had known since the first grade. Her passion and perseverance were evidenced in her gardens, as she was an avid and accomplished gardener.
Most of all, she was a faithful daughter, wife, mother, and friend. Fay’s genuine kindness and selfless love impacted the lives of family and friends alike. Her gifts made the world a more beautiful place. She will be greatly missed.
