Earl Adams

Earl Adams, 96, of Walnut Grove passed away Sunday evening, August 13, 2017, in his home following an extended illness.

Earl, the son of Jesse and Ada (Belcher) Adams was born in Roy, Montana, December 8, 1920. He was a 1938 graduate of Bear Creek.
Earl was a farmer and stockman in the Walnut Grove area and was known as a huge cattleman.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bolivar, Missouri. Earl’s sidekick was his beloved dog, Buddy. They could be found visiting with family and friends and telling a good story.
Earl loved the time he was able to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Earl and Kathleen (Coffman) were united in marriage June 14, 1941. Together, they were privileged to share 74 years before Kathleen’s passing in 2015.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three sisters.

He is survived by his loving family: son, Arnie and wife, Susan, Adams of Ash Grove; and two daughters: Sheila and husband, Steve Thorpe of Dadeville and Tela and husband, Tom Crossland of Walnut Grove; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; brother, Bob Adams of Adrian, Missouri; sister, Lois Workman of Kimberling City, Missouri; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.
Visitation was held Wednesday, August 16, 2017, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, Missouri.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 17, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., in the funeral home with burial to follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Aldrich, Missouri.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to everyone who cared for Earl, especially all with Oxford Hospice.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to Oxford Healthcare and may be left at the funeral home.
