Some people you meet touch your lives in the most unimaginable ways. Murlene Still was one of those people. Her selfless devotion, limitless love and genuine kindness were a blessing to all who knew her.

Murlene Still, age 79, of Waynesville, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017, at the Sunset Village of the Ozarks, St. Roberts, Missouri, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born December 28, 1937, in Springlake, Texas, the daughter of Louis and Mary Ellen (Shive) Mobley.
On May 30th, 1954, she married Mernice Still. Murlene is survived by her children, Marsha Bradley, of Waynesville, Missouri; Belinda Flaherty and Larry Threkhold of Waynesville, Missouri; Janice and Robert Pendleton of Willard, Missouri; Melissa and John Kenney of St. Robert, Missouri; Micky and Pam Still of Waynesville, Missouri; Mason and Chastity Still of Popular Bluff, Missouri; sisters: Jane Collier of Miller, Missouri; and Jean Estes of Miller, Missouri; as well as fifteen grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Ellen Mobley; two sisters, Arbeta Floyd and Dorothy Mobley; one brother, Louis Hall Jr. Mobley; ex-husband, Mernice Ray Still; and her precious baby girl, Pamela Still.

Murlene was well known for her baking. Her love for cooking developed into a career cooking for the US Military. Murlene retired from EDP Enterprises after many years as a cook for our troops in training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Her faith in the Lord was strong and carried her through life with a smile. She faced the difficult times of her life knowing that God was right there with her.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at the Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home in Miller. Burial followed at the Pennsboro Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Assocation in care of the funeral home.
