Gregory Lane Taylor

Gregory Lane Taylor, 61, of Everton, Missouri, was born on October 18, 1955, in Springfield, Missouri, to Leslie Lane and Rosalee (Patterson) Taylor. Early on in life he showed an interest in adventure and mischief. Greg lived life fast and hard, and departed life in the same fashion on September 6, 2017.
His love of family and the outdoors was evident all around him. Fishing, scuba diving, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and racing were a part of who he was. Eating good food was a passion he shared with his family.
Greg graduated from Greenfield High School in 1973. He helped run the family business, “Taylors Food Fair,” for 28 years, and he was also a lifetime cattle farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Taylor of the home; his parents, Les and Rose Taylor of Springfield, Missouri; five children: Cassie Taylor and her husband, Brad; Shauna Romine and husband, Daniel; Kolby Holmes; Logan Brown and his wife, Allison; and Hailey Patterson; his brother, Brad Taylor and his wife, Kim; eight grandchildren: Izaac, Bristol, Brice, Brody, Bryndle, Brooks, Ella, and Rylynn in which they will forever hold his memory in their hearts; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017, in Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Ray Springs Cemetery.
The family received friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral chapel.
