Lonnie Franklin Clark

September 27, 2017

Lonnie Franklin Clark, 74, of Everton, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017.

Lonnie, the son of Willis Edgar and Clara Ethel (Weaver) Clark, was born in Campbell, Missouri, on February 24, 1943. On May 19, 1979, Lonnie and Ronda (Johnson) were united in marriage. They were privileged to share over 38 years together.
Lonnie was a man of many talents and many adventures. Through the years, he was a farmer, a truck driver, drove a school bus, and worked in the public works department for the City of Everton. Lonnie also owned a service station, a convenience store, an excavation business, and a wrecker service. Lonnie was very active in his community and enjoyed serving in several capacities. He did a little of everything from being a Little League Coach, serving as mayor of Everton, as well as sitting on the city council. He served on the fire board and was a rural firefighter. Lonnie was also a member of the Everton Booster Club.

During Lonnie’s leisure time, he loved spending time with his family and playing with the kids. Lonnie was truly happy playing with his dogs and giving them their treats every night like clockwork. He enjoyed jug fishing for catfish at Truman Lake, deer hunting, and taking family hunting trips to Montana.
Most Wednesday nights one could find Lonnie at Hood’s Truck Stop for Walleye Wednesday and on Friday nights listening to the music that was played. Lonnie enjoyed visiting with people and he never met a stranger. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Ronda Clark, of the home; children: Rebecca Keele and Randy of Williamsville; Julie Woodland and Leonard of Williamsville; Angela Schletzbaum and Tom of Dadeville; Kevin Clark and Shawnna of Everton; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two brothers: Charles Clark and Janice of Waterloo, Illinois; Ernest Clark and Dorothy of Billings, Montana; one sister, Clara Mae Clark of Columbia; one sister-in-law, Norma Jean Clark of Madera, California; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
