Donald Byron Davis

Donald Byron Davis, age 86, Stockton, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018.

Don was born on May 28, 1931, to John Polk and Lula Richardson Davis in Stockton, Missouri. He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War.

He was a member of the Stockton Assembly of God Church. He was a member of the Masons and the Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Grand Patron in 1990.
He had a passion for farming and spending time with family and friends telling stories. Many stories were about bird hunting, his dogs and numerous deer hunts. He always had sound advice about farming.

Don is survived by his wife, Doris Gayle Davis; children: Patty Burns and husband Ralph; James Davis and wife, Teresa; Arthur Davis and wife, Tracy; and Laura Settle and husband, Joel.

Grandchildren: Jason Burns and wife, Kelli; Scott Burns and wife, Tanya; Jami Rivera and husband, Rick; Joni Caddell and husband, Andy; Josh Davis; Eric Davis and Cinnamon; D.J. Davis and wife, Jessica; and Nathan Stockstill and wife, Kayley.

Great grandchildren: Sadie, Zachary, Nicholas, and Kaden Burns; Kaitlynn Johnmeyer; Juliana and Lucas Rivera; McKenna Caddell; Charity, Isaiah, and Josephine Davis; Makenzie Smock; Lillie and Zoey Davis;, Byron Stockstill; and Lucas and Tempest Pierce.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Polk and mother, Lula Davis; sister, Louise Tolbert; brother, Mackie Davis; grandson, Jeremy Wade Burns; and granddaughter, Shandra Lea Davis.

A celebration of life was held Monday, January 8, 2018, at Stockton Assembly of God Church, 1505 South 3rd Road, Stockton, Missouri. Burial was at the Omer Cemetery.
