Vanita “June” Brooks Mayfield

Vanita “June” Brooks Mayfield, 83, of Everton, Missouri, passed away in the Ash Grove Healthcare Facility, Monday, March 5, 2018.

June was born and raised in Everton, Missouri. June married J.C. “Bud” Mayfield in 1953. To this union, three children were born.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Ellen “Granny” Brooks.

June is survived by her children: Dania Morrell of Everton, Missouri; John David and wife, Karen, of Kansas City, Missouri; Terri Schmille and husband, David , of Westlake, Texas; six grandchildren: Jennifer Morrell of Republic, Missouri Clint Morrell and wife, Ashley, of Willard, Missouri; Allison Curry and husband, Brett, of Kansas City, Missouri; Eric Mayfield and fiance, Mary Lou, of Kansas City, Missouri; Joanna Schmille of Fort Worth, Texas; and Taylor Schmille and wife, Faye, of Haslett, Texas; six great grandchildren: Bryce, Brady and Brock Morrell; Jaden O’Neal; Rowen Schmille; and Emma Curry.

A private family memorial was held Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Sinking Creek Cemetery, Everton, Missouri.
