Ronald E. “Ron” Evans

Ronald E. “Ron” Evans of St. John, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018.

Ron was the beloved husband of Jeanne (Shearer) for 54 years.

He was a loving father of Teresa (Stephen) Biron, Mark (Maribeth), Ryan and Patrick.

Ron the cherished grandfather of Maximilian and Madelyn Biron and Zachary and Alexander Evans.

He was dearest brother of Rick (Loana) Evans; son-in-law of Norma Shearer; brother-in-law of Lanis Shearer, Kay Shearer, Peggy(Fred) Bridgman; and Darrell Shearer and the fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Ron is also survived by his beloved dog, Rolle.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lois Evans; infant son, Brian David; sister, Carolyn Shorter; father-in-law, David Shearer; and brother-in-laws, Gary and Dee Shearer.

He was a veteran of the United States Army-Vietnam War and bronze star recipient. Ron was a retired employee of R. T. Patterson Cmpany and formerly employee of U. S. Steel - American Bridge Division.

Services were held privately for Ron on Friday, March 2, 2018. Interment was held at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, Illinois.
